Belly Dancing is an excellent avenue for expanding awareness of body and spirit. Much of the movement is circular and spiral, creating a vortex within the dancer that can expand to handle more and more energy. This is a gradual process, allowing the vessel/body to prepare for the expansion. This dance is life giving, regenerating, and loads of fun, regardless of experience level.
My objective when I teach introductory classes is to spark a love for bellydance in some and to awaken the delightful, powerful, sensual feminine within all. I want to facilitate every student in gaining an appreciation and awareness of her body and her beauty.
My classes are
appropriate for age
10 on up! Any female
will benefit from the
experience. Many
women will say they
cannot take a class
because their body
is "too fill in the blank!"
If you are self-conscious for any reason, my classes will help you overcome that feeling. There is no such thing
as being "too anything" to try this class.
I focus on basic moves, playing with veils, spinning, and learning to use the eyes to communicate the inner being.
I encourage students to bring their own fun and beautiful skirts, fanny wraps, or anything that makes you feel pretty! Please Do NOT show up to a class in sweat pants!
I also offer "Dress Up and Dance" parties. I provide costuming, veils, music, basic lessons and I show up in full regalia to spark the imagination and fun. This is an excellent way to celebrate a special occasion. Cost is $300 for up to 15 women in my area. I will travel further for an additional fee! Talk to me!
Add great food and decorate to make e your party a real event with memories that will last a lifetime. There is nothing more fun than seeing your friends transform into exotic beauties for a few hours of play!C
